FRECKLE-FACED BEARS
1 10-oz. pkg. refrigerator biscuits 1/4 cup sesame or sunflower seeds 36 raisins
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Roll six raw
biscuits into balls, roll in seeds, then flatten slightly on the cookie sheet to form the bears' heads.
Roll small pieces of dough to form ears and noses, and use raisins for eyes. Use leftover dough to
create letters, monsters, faces or pigs. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 bears.

BEAR'S HONEY CRACKER JACKS 1/2 c (8 tbsp) honey 1/2 c Margarine 6 c POPPED popcorn 1 c Shelled peanuts Heat
honey and butter in a saucepan until blended. Cool. Pour over mixed popcorn and peanuts, stirring as you pour. When well-coated,
spread in a pan in a single layer. Bake at 350 for 5-10 minutes until crisp, stirring several times and watching carefully
so it doesn't burn.

Raisins | Scald 1/2
cup milk; stir in 3 tb sugar, 2 ts salt and 3 tb margarine. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 1 package Active dry Yeast in 1 1/2
cups warm water. Add milk mixture and 3 cups unsifted flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough more flour (3 1/2-4 cups) to
make a stiff dough. Onto floured board knead 8-10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, grease top and cover. Let rise until doubled,
about 1 hour. Punch down. Divide in 4 equal parts. Cut one piece in half and one piece in 14 pieces. Shape into balls. Put
large balls on greased baking sheets, for bodies. Place medium balls above for heads.Flatten slightly. Pinch seams. Attach
small balls for paws, noses and ears. Cover. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Make indentations in ears. Place raisins
for eyes and belly buttons. Mix 1 egg and 1 tb water, brush on bears. Bake at 400, 25-30 minutes. Cool

Critter Crunch 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal 2 cups teddy bear-shaped graham
snacks 1 cup honey-roasted peanuts 1/2 cup raisins
Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Store
in plastic bag or covered container. Makes 8 servings
Chocolate Zucchini mini Bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup grated unpeeled zucchini
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Whisk the
flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda and cinnamon; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in the
zucchini and chocolate chips. Spoon into greased mini loaf pans. Bake
at 350° for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out
clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
Yield: 8

COLD-CUT PUZZLER
Let your child put this puzzling lunch together. Start by making a sandwich.
Cut the sandwich into a number of shapes, then separate
the shapes, mix them up and place them on her lunch plate.
Have your child reconstruct the sandwich by interlocking
the puzzle pieces before your child eats it.
Healthful Bear Munchies 1 orange slice 1 cherry half 3 banana slices 2 raisins Children can arrange the orange slice
on a plate for the bear's head. Place two bananas for the bear's ears and one for the bear's snout. Add the cherry for the
bear's nose. Use the raisins for the bear's eyes.
